Oi! I am Maira Cordeiro, founder and Chief Believer of Avesso. I am natively from a small state in Brazil called, Rondônia, in the middle of the Amazon forest. I grew up surrounded by nature and natural resources and that is the mantra I bring to Avesso.

I studied at a fashion university in Brazil and took extension courses at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology and Parsons colleges in New York, where I lived two years before returning to Brazil. I moved back to the US after meeting my husband and am now the proud mama of a beautiful and cheerful baby boy!

I worked in various areas of fashion such as styling, accessories, and clothing before moving to Los Angeles and creating Avesso. Once I settled into Los Angeles, I knew right away this was the place to bring my vision to life! Avesso brings all things California: love, comfort, sustainability, and a touch of uniqueness.
